JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – One person was transported to the hospital after being shot on the Northside Tuseday night, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
Shortly after 10 p.m. officers were dispatched to 702 North Lincoln Court, at the Roosevelt Gardens Apartments, in reference to a shooting.

When officers arrived they located a person that had been shot. That person was transported to UF Health. We do not know the victim's condition at this time.
An occupied vehicle was also struck during gun fire, but the occupant was uninjured according to JSO.
Officers do not believe that the occupant in the vehicle was involved in the incident at all.
