JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A murder suspect who was scheduled for arraignment Tuesday did not have a court hearing because he's in the hospital after being injured in a jail fight.

Peter Jensen, 23, who's accused of killing his 24-year-old wife with a shotgun, punched a corrections officer in the face and then pushed him Oct. 3, according to a police report.

The corrections officer was able to subdue Jensen, who was then transported to Shands Jacksonville Medical Center, according to the report.

Jensen was arrested in September in the death of Karina Jensen. Police said she was found shot to death in a garage apartment off Julington Creek Road, and Peter Jensen was found hiding naked under a nearby shed.

A witness told police the two were playing violent video games just before the killing.

Jensen was taken to Shands immediately after the killing to be treated for drug use, police said.
