Painting with a Twist

Holiday painting class to help teenagers battling cancer

By Jennifer Waugh - The Morning Show anchor, I-Team reporter

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Channel 4's Crystal Moyer has never taken a painting class.  She does not consider herself an artist.  But, she painted a masterpiece in under an hour, this morning on The Morning Show.

Geri Bernard, owner of Painting With A Twist Jacksonville, taught Moyer how to paint a beautiful picture of a Christmas tree on canvas.  I snapped pictures of her when she started and as she progressed from a blank canvas to an impressive holiday painting.

The programs offered by Live For Today create adventure, encourage new experiences, uplift through support, and inspire a healthy lifestyle for teenagers fighting for their lives.

Sunday's event will take place at Painting With A Twist's studio in San Marco.  They are located at 1525 San Marco Boulevard in Jacksonville.  Cost is $35 per guest and each participant will paint a "Starry Oak" painting to take home.  50% of the event sales will benefit Live For Today.
