JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Firefighters say a propane tank is to blame for a house fire Friday night on Jacksonville's Northside.
News4Jax first learned about the fire on Peaceful Harbor Drive just after 10 p.m. Saturday.
Neighbors reported hearing an explosion before the fire. Jacksonville Fire Rescue confirmed a propane tank exploded and the fire spread from the back porch to the house's attic.
The people inside the house got out immediately and called 911. No injuries were reported.
The fire caused an estimated $15,000 of damage to the house, but JFRD said the house is fixable.
The State Fire Marshal is investigating what caused the propane tank to explode.
