FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. - Two people are dead and two people are in critical condition after a head-on crash Friday night involving four vehicles on State Road A1A.

The crash happened around 6:30 p.m. when a Mercury Sable traveling south hit a Ford Fusion, that was traveling north.

Kathleen Boos, 66, and Robert Boos, 68, were in the Ford and were killed in the crash.

The driver of the Mercury Sable was identified as William Schwarz.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol report, Schwarz had been drinking.

Troopers said Schwarz was passing an Infiniti sedan, carrying Brittinia Dimattia, that was also traveling south on A1A.

While passing, Schwarz hit the Boos couple in the Ford head on. Their Ford was pushed into the path of Dimattia and those vehicles collided.

A fourth vehicle, a Buick LaCrosse, was also in the area. After the previous collisions, the Infiniti rotated into the Buick's path and struck it.

The four people inside the Buick were not injured.

Schwarz and Dimattia were taken to Flagler Hospital in critical condition.

According to the report, the crash remains under investigation and charges are pending.
