Deputies attempted to stop the vehicle, but the car overturned on Royal Palm Parkway when the driver made a tight turn off Rymfire Drive. The driver, who is not being identified at this time, was transported to Florida Hospital Flagler, where he was being treated for injuries sustained in the accident.

Rymfire Elementary School was briefly locked down as deputies tried to stop the fleeing suspect vehicle.

The man left behind has been identified as 20-year-old Jeremiah Harris. After questioning by detectives, Harris is being charged with burglary and loitering and prowling.

Deputies reported it appeared Harris and the other man were out of the vehicle while they were attempting to break into a home on Renshaw Drive. The attempt failed and the one man fled in the vehicle, leaving Harris at the scene, deputies said. They said he was picked up as he walked along Renshaw Drive.
