JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police say several people were in a car on Philips Highway when shots were fired. One of the passengers was hit by a bullet.
The victim was driven to the Hess gas station on Philips Highway, according to Jacksonville Sheriff's Office investigators.

The victim received a gunshot wound to the head, but officers say the injury is not life-threatening.
Officers also say the Hess station was not involved.
Police called in the Violent Crimes Unit, and the investigation is ongoing. Detectives are still searching for suspects.
