JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A Hilliard man was killed Thursday morning in a three-vehicle crash on U.S. 1 in Nassau County, authorities said.
The crash happened about 7:15 a.m. on U.S. 1 near Zidell Road in Callahan, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. It blocked the roadway for more than three hours.

Traffic was stopped for a school bus picking up children at the intersection. Troopers said a Ford van driven by Sean Easterling did not stop and rear-ended a Buick sport-utility vehicle.
The impact propelled the Buick forward into the back of a Hyundai Accent, according to the Highway Patrol.
Easterling, 32, was not wearing a seat belt, troopers said. He died of his injuries.
No one else was hurt.
