The identities of the people involved have not been released.

One neighbor told Channel 4's Jason Law there were problems at the home before. Cathy Johns said last month her neighbor came to her looking for help.

"She came about two weeks ago to my door, crying. She was speaking to a lady on the telephone. She said she was having trouble with her husband," Johns said.

Johns and other residents on Theresa Road said the house became a crime scene Saturday night.

Johns said her son heard a gunshot while helping her unload groceries.

"When he went to the truck he heard 'pow.' He said, 'Momma, somebody got shot!' So I went in the house and he told, 'Don't come outside. Don't come outside.' So I stayed in the house," Johns said.

"They said, 'Get your children in the house. Someone has a gun," said neighbor Janet Baylor.

Baylor said police were all over the street, warning people to stay inside.

"It's very unsettling that that could happen right next door to you," Baylor said. "Those people were the quietest folks. No problems, you know, that we knew. Never bothered anyone."

Sheriff Tommy Seagraves told us his new office will not release any new information until Monday.
