Semi crash closes I-95 lanes in Yulee

Produce scattered over interstate after early morning semi crash

YULEE, Fla. – The right and center lanes of Interstate 95 Southbound in Yulee were closed for nearly 10 hours Saturday morning while officials cleaned up after a morning crash involving a tractor trailer.

Around 6:00 a.m. Saturday morning a semi carrying produce crashed in Nassau County, leaving debris all over the interstate near mile marker 371.

The Florida Highway Patrol said around 11:00 a.m. Saturday morning they expected lanes to be closed for several more hours and they were closed until after 2 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

Channel 4 viewers said traffic was backed up for miles throughout the day and Channel 4's Scott Johnson passed the scene and said traffic was backed up on I-95 SB from mile marker 371 to just south of Woodbine.

All lanes were open by 3:00 p.m. Saturday.
