DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Police say a man, from Daytona Beach, looking to get revenge from being fired set fire to his former boss's house and truck.

According to Daytona Beach police, 79-year-old Willie Irven fired Damion Haywood on his 40th birthday.   Irven told police Hywood would always show up to work "high."

The Daytona Beach News-Journal reports police say a witness saw a man near Irven's truck.  According to police the witness says the man was beating on the truck with a gas can.

When investigators arrived they found three tires punctured and a shattered window.  Authorities say Irven's house had been doused with gasoline and set on fire.  They say the asbestos siding caused the fire not to spread.

According to police, Haywood confessed to the crime.

Haywood's past includes being arrested 23 times and serving prison twice in the last 16 years.  He currently has a bail of $25,000.
