Police: Walmart employee shoots at car

Willie Mitchell reportedly upset over "Employee of the Month"

MIAMI, Fla. – A former Walmart employee shot at a co-worker's car after the store awarded the employee the "Employee of the Month" title, according to the Broward County Sheriff's Office.

According to the Daily Mail, Willie Mitchell worked for Walmart at the time of the shooting incident. Authorities say he was angry the female co-worker had received the reward because he wanted the award.

Police believe Mitchell had some bad feelings toward the other employee.

The Broward Sheriff's Office reviewed surveillance video from the parking lot of the Walmart. Authorities say in the video Mitchell is seen driving up and parking next to his co-worker.

From there, police said the video shows him rolling down his window and shooting at her car. No one was inside the co-worker's car at the time, as she was inside the store.

The Broward Sheriff's Office charged Mitchell with discharging a firearm from a vehicle.
