Boil Water Notice in Ponte Vedra Beach

Notice issued after water main break

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – The St. Johns County Utility Department issued a precautionary boil water notice Sunday after a water main break that occurred in the area.

Signs will be posted along 7 Mile Drive where the notice begins.

Crew are working to repair the lines at this time.

The department is warning residents that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth or washing teeth should be boiled prior to used, unless bottled water is used as substitute.

The notice is expected to remain in effect for at least two days while the water is being tested in a lab to make sure it is safe to drink.
