ST. JOHNS, Fla. - St. Johns County Fire-Rescue revived a man who was pulled from the surf at Anastasia State Park Saturday.

SJCFR said the man was bodysurfing and was knocked over by a wave around 5 p.m.

His companion signaled a SJCFR marine-rescue lifeguard who quickly pulled the man to the shore.

Rescuers said the man was in cardiac arrest, not breathing and had no pulse.

Lifeguards and SJCFR performed CPR on the man until he regained a pulse and was breathing on his own. The man was taken to Flagler hospital in critical condition.

His name was not released.
