Stabbing suspect held at gunpoint by good Samaritans, Orange County deputies say

ORLANDO, Fla. – A man was arrested on Wednesday morning after he stabbed an elderly man at a bus stop and was held at gunpoint by a good Samaritan until authorities arrived, according to deputies.

Thomas Thorpe, 50, has been charged in the stabbing at 8 a.m. on Orange Avenue and 6th Street.

Deputies said Thorpe stabbed the man and was held at gunpoint by a good Samaritan, who got out of his car when he saw what was happening.

Thorpe surrendered to the good Samaritan and was detained until deputies arrived, according to OCSO.

The victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
