TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Florida's tourism-marketing agency Thursday kicked off the second part of a $5 million post-Hurricane Irma effort to draw visitors to the state.
Visit Florida announced ads will run on television, in print and on billboards in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, New York, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.
“This phase will transition directly into our winter campaign and take full advantage of those making travel decisions for the late fall and winter seasons,” said Ken Lawson, the Visit Florida president and CEO who on Wednesday said the agency continues to pursue a pre-storm goal of 120 million visitors this year.
The second phase of the campaign, which will run through Nov. 26, also will include digital billboards in Baltimore, Birmingham, Charlotte, Cleveland, Detroit, Greenville/Spartanburg, Houston, Memphis, Nashville, New Orleans and Raleigh.
The first phase of the campaign included an emphasis on live videos on Facebook.
