TAMPA, Fla. - A woman convicted of third degree murder for her mother's death is going to be released from prison Friday, December 6.

Valessa Robinson became infamous for teaming up with her boyfriend, Adam Davis, and another friend Jon Whispel. Authorities say the three of them plotted and executed the killing of Robinson's mom, Vicki Robinson, in 1998.

Robinson was 15 at the time of her mom's murder and she was convicted two years later at 17.

A Tampa judge sentenced her to spend 15 years in prison. She was also sentenced for five years for grand theft auto.

Her boyfriend, Davis, is on death row. Whispel is scheduled to be released in 2020. A judge sentenced him to serve 25 years in prison.

Authorities say Vicki Robinson was injected with bleach, choked and stabbed to death. The three were said to be escaping the night of the murder. They had also taken LSD that night.
