ATLANTA, Ga. - A former Department of Veterans Affairs employee has learned her fate after pleading guilty to theft of department funds.

Prosecutors say Zerry Feaster was working with the department as a secretary at the Police Services Division at the Atlanta VA Medical Center in Decatur.

While Feaster was employed, they say she stole more than $80,000 on personal items using her government-issued credit card.  Zerry bought Pre-paid gift cards, luxury accessories and jewelry.  She even used the government-issues credit card to gamble.

A judge sentenced Feaster to 13 months in prison.  She is also required to pay back more than $88,000.
