Georgia GOP school sup't race goes to recount

Headline Goes Here

ATLANTA - A week after Georgia's runoff primary, Republican candidate for State School Superintendent, Mike Buck, has requested a recount of all votes in his race against Richard Woods.

Final results showed Woods drew 713 more votes than Buck in a race that drew 398,193 votes.

On Tuesday, Secretary of State Brian Kemp has notified all county election superintendents of Buck's request and directed that such superintendents conduct a recount of all votes cast in the Republican primary runoff for state school superintendent.

The recount must be completed no later than noon on Thursday.

Whoever is declared the winner will face Democrat Valarie Wilson in November's General Election.
