Alstashy, along with several other suspects, robbed the Walmart in an elaborate scheme, according to a federal indictment obtained from a court in Baltimore.

During the incident, Alstashy allegedly shot one of his co-conspirators who worked for Walmart to make the robbery look real, investigators said.

That person was shot in the arm, but the injury wasn’t life-threatening.

After the robbery, Alstashy and the others involved set fire to a getaway vehicle before meeting up at another location to divide the stolen money, officials said.

Alstashy faces charges including Hobbs Act conspiracy, Hobbs Act robbery including aiding and abetting, discharging a firearm during a robbery, wire fraud and the malicious destruction of a vehicle by fire.
