About two minutes later, police said they received reports of shots fired from the same location.

When officers arrived at the address, witnesses told them two victims -- a man and a woman -- were shot and drove themselves away. Police said the victims drove themselves to St. Vincent's Hospital South.

Witnesses told police that three men had gotten out of one car and started beating a man from the second car and the female victim was screaming.

As the fight ended, the man and woman got back in their car and were about to drive away when another car pulled up and fired multiple shots into the car, striking both occupants, police said.

Police said after the victims, believed to be in their mid-20s, were seen by medical staff at St. Vincent's, they determined the man's injuries were life-threatening and airlifted both victims to UF Health Jacksonville.

Police have not released details regarding any suspects or what type of vehicle the shooters were in.
