Jags open additional seating for Bears game

Tarp removed to open up seating

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Chicago Bears fans came out in droves to EverBank Field for Sunday's Jaguars game.

Jacksonville fans said it seemed like there were more Bears than fans from other visiting teams.

"Why are there so many bears fans coming down here for this game? Three and one start already. The combo of Cutler and Marshall, and of course it's 'da bears!" said one Bears fan.

One group of about 20 friends flew down to Jacksonville just for the game. They all bought hotel rooms, tickets and food here.

"I didn't know there was such a Bears following in Jacksonville. I just came down to enjoy the game and I'm getting overwhelmed right now," said Jaguars fan James Fyfe.

The Bears fans have increased the demand for tickets was so much, that for the first time in many years, the team opened up some of the tarps which are used to cover seats so the stadium doesn't look empty.

"It has been a great week in terms of ticket demand and we want to give every fan the chance to be in the stadium today and hopefully create as good of a home field advantage as we can," said Jaguars President Mark Lamping.

Jaguars fans said the Bears fans came out in droves, but in the end, the Jags fans had the most heart.

"At the end of the day the Jaguars are gonna win," said one Jags fan.
