FERNANDINA BEACH, Fla. – Police say they found a meth lab inside a home Wednesday evening in Fernandina Beach.
The Fernandina Beach Police Department, U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and Nassau County Sheriff's Office performed a combined law enforcement raid at a house in the 1700 block of Atlantic Avenue, ending a five-month investigation into methamphetamine production in an upscale and usually quiet residential neighborhood, investigators said.

The occupants of the home, Kama Gainey and Henry Lannon II, were arrested at the scene and charged with the manufacturing of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of listed chemicals, and possession of methamphetamine. Both were being held at the Nassau County jail on bonds of more than $120,000 each.
Investigators said they plan to charge Gainey with the additional charges of sale and delivery of methamphetamine.
Three others were interviewed at the scene and released.
Police said all the essential precursor elements were located inside the home, further proof that methamphetamine was being manufactured inside.
Viewers who called Channel 4 said that they had heard a large explosion or loud noise while police were investigating.
Police said that there was no explosion and that the sound people heard was the law enforcement team making entry into the home.
Police said once they were inside the home, they found an active meth lab. Police said they were able to dismantle the meth lab.
Police said no one was injured during the investigation.
Because children were known to live in the home, Department of Children and Families investigators accompanied law enforcement to the scene and will continue to look into the well-being of the children.
