2 arrested in Columbia County drug bust

COLUMBIA COUNTY, Fla. - Detectives with the Columbia County Sheriff's Office arrested two men Thursday on drug charges.

At about 10:15 pm, detectives served a search warrant at a home in the 3800 block of Northwest Archer Road. Detectives said they found marijuana, prescription medications and a firearm inside.

Detectives seized about 247 grams of marijuana and about 16 grams of oxycodone. A loaded semiautomatic handgun was also seized, detectives said.

Investigators said they seized more than $5,000 in cash.

They arrested Timothy Morgan, 25, and Travis Mullins, 27, both of Lake City. Both were booked into the Columbia County Detention Facility with bail set at $31,000.

Detectives said additional arrests and charges are possible as the investigation moves forward.
