LAKE CITY, Fla. – The Lake City Police Department has arrested two men in connection with the shooting death of one man and shooting of another last week.
On Wednesday, police arrested Keiyon'tre Merritt, 20, and Deion-Tay Jones, 16, in the killing of 30-year-old Christopher McConell and shooting of 48-year-old Elijah Dunning in the 700 block of Northwest Alma Avenue.

Jones is charged with murder and armed robbery. Merritt is charged with armed robbery. Both suspects were booked into Columbia County Detention Center.
Just before 2 a.m. last Thursday, officers were called to a hospital regarding the two gunshot victims arriving at the emergency room.
Investigators arrested the suspects at about 3 p.m. Wednesday in a coordinated effort between several agencies.
