PALM COAST, Fla. - Flagler County deputies are investigating an armed robbery at a Palm Coast liquor store on State Road 100 on Monday evening.

Deputies said the clerk at Sharps Liquor reported two men entered the store about 5:20 p.m. and one attempted to purchase alcohol. When the clerk asked for identification, the man said it was in the car, so both men then left the store, deputies said.

The clerk said only one man came back in, and she again asked for ID. The man responded that he did not have it, so the clerk opened the cash drawer to refund his money, deputies said. At that point, the man demanded money and produced a small silver hand gun, deputies said.

The clerk said she complied, and the man also demanded a $100 bottle of Hennessy liquor before leaving the store, deputies said.

The two men were seen leaving the parking lot heading northwest toward State Road 100 in a silver Chrysler with a black convertible top. The men were described as black and in their early 30s.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call the Flagler County Sheriff's Office at 386-313-4911.
