FERNANDINA BEACH, Fla. – The Nassau County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday said construction workers dug up what investigators believe are human bones at a construction site along Bonnieview Road in Fernandina Beach.

The Sheriff’s Office said the call came in around 11:30 a.m. A news release notes that the bones appeared to have been there “for a long period of time.”
