ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. - Detectives with the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office have arrested four people they suspect of burglarizing several vehicles throughout the northwest part of the county within the last several months.

Initially, investigators said they received a tip from a family member of a juvenile suspect, which led them to the location of property that was stolen during the burglaries.

As the investigation continued, detectives received information that led to the identity of a juvenile suspect, who was arrested in late August on unrelated charges. That suspect, identified as 17-year-old David Froess Jr., was re-arrested earlier this week.

Detectives said they garnered information that led to the identity of three additional suspects: Brandon Connell, 18, Montgomery McCaffrey, 19, and Sean Gwaltney, 17.

The vehicles in these cases were all determined to be unlocked.

The investigations are ongoing and detectives are still seeking information in the cases and are looking to find the owners of other property that was discovered during the investigation.

Anyone who has more information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 888-277-TIPS (8477) or Detective Samantha English at 904-209-3986.
