5 former governors talk about Florida's future

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Five of Florida's past governors have some advice about protecting Florida in the future.
Water, growth management and energy were on the minds of the former governors Friday during a discussion at the University of Florida.
Govs. Reubin Askew, Bob Graham, Bob Martinez, Buddy MacKay and Charlie Crist took part in the event.
Askew said Florida's water supply is the most important issue facing Florida now and in the future.
Martinez criticized the Republican Legislature and Gov. Rick Scott for stripping away growth management laws, saying they should have been revised instead.
Crist said he opposes any offshore drilling near Florida and said alternative energy sources need to be developed.
Graham said current lawmakers are thinking of the immediate future and not making sacrifices for the long term.
