JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A convicted Jacksonville child predator has been sentenced to two life terms in prison, authorities said.

In August, 36-year-old Lonnie Holmes was found guilty of sexually abusing a 7-year-old girl.

According to authorities, Holmes forced the girl to perform sex acts on him from June 2010 to April 2011.

"This defendant will never have the chance to harm another child. I hope this sentence also helps our young victim in her healing process," said Assistant State Attorney Anna Hixon.
