City Council elects new president, vice president

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville City Council has a new president- and vice president-elect.

Bill Gulliford has been elected president by a unanimous vote, and council member Clay Yarborough (pictured, right) will be vice president.

Gulliford says the two biggest issues facing the council over the next year will be the budget and pension reform.

He will be the first Jacksonville City Council president from the beaches communities.
