Commission nominates 6 for possible judicial appointment

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Fourth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission announced Tuesday that six nominees have been submitted to Gov. Rick Scott for possible appointment to fill the County Court judicial vacancy.

The Fourth Circuit covers Duval, Clay and Nassau counties.

The nominees to fill the spot on the bench are Lester B. Bass, Brian J. Cabrey, Angela D. Mathews Gale, Ashley Wells Greene, Devin J. Reed and Mark A. Sieron.

Bass is currently a dependency drug court judge for the city of Jacksonville.

Cabrey is a Jacksonville lawyer who was assistant general counsel with Florida's Department of Children and Families Child Welfare Legal Services, serving Duval, St. Johns, Nassau, Clay and Baker counties.

Gale, who worked for Jacksonville Area Legal Aid Society for eight years, is a Jacksonville family law attorney.

Greene, who volunteers as a Guardian ad Litem, is a Jacksonville criminal defense lawyer.

Reed, who worked for the city of Jacksonville for more than 10 years, is currently director of department procurement with the Jacksonville Aviation Authority.

Sieron, a Green Cove Springs criminal defense lawyer, was an assistant state attorney in the Fourth Judicial Circuit for three years.
