Family pleads for help finding Baker County woman

Sharon Jackson last heard from one week ago, investigators say

BAKER COUNTY, Fla. – It's been a week since anyone has seen or heard from a Baker County woman.

Family members of Sharon Jackson, 56, said it's not like her to disappear without contacting family.

Investigators said Jackson was last heard from last Sunday.

Jackson's car was found abandoned off Highway 47, south of Lake City. At this point, there are no clues and no leads.?

Family and friends said mentally, Jackson is sharp, but physically she's still recovering from recent shoulder surgery.

"Sharon is a homebody. She recently had surgery. She has not been going out a lot, doing a lot of things," said Jackson's sister, Cathy Hooper. "I've been in contact with her prior this week and she sounded positive. We've had some plans for this week and I have not been able to reach her."

Her loved ones are pleading with anyone who may know where she is to call police right away.

Jackson is described as petite; 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighing about 130 pounds.
