JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A Flagler Beach woman was found guilty of Social Security fraud on Thursday.

Deborah Townsend, 46, faces up to 10 years in federal prison.

According to court documents, Townsend was awarded disability benefits in 1995. She then began working as a bookkeeper in January 2003, but didn't tell the Social Security Administration about the job.

If she had reported her job, her benefits would have ended in February 2004.

Townsend was overpaid $143,805 in benefits, according to prosecutors.

Townsend will be sentenced on June 11.
