Gas prices up for 32 days in a row

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Gas prices are on the rise for the 32nd day in a row -- up 13 percent since the middle of January.

AAA reports the national average for gas is about $3.73 a gallon. In places like Hawaii and California, prices are over $4 a gallon and nearing $5 a gallon. The cheapest place to buy gas is Wyoming, where drivers are paying about $3.73 per gallon.

Channel 4 did the math and figured out that if someone is driving about 30 miles a day to and from work, that person will pay around $11.35 more than they did for gas a month ago.

The experts say gas prices are spiking because of refinery closures, production cuts and rises in crude oil prices.

AAA says an increased number of motorists and a rise in demand for fuel are adding to the pain at the pump.
