Scott thanks first responders for service, aid in helping victims

TAVARES, Fla. – Florida Gov. Rick Scott met with first responders on Tuesday to thank them for their service and aid in helping the victims after Monday night's gas plant explosion in Tavares.

The central Florida propane gas plant ignited a 200-foot high fireball.

Eight people were injured, with at least four in critical condition.

John Herrell of the Lake County Sheriff's Office said early Tuesday that no one died despite massive blasts that ripped through the Blue Rhino propane plant property late Monday night. Officials initially scrambled to find more than a dozen employees after the explosions.
