JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Jermaine Strachan was awarded two Purple Hearts during his tour of Iraq after being physically wounded. He still has a visible injury on his shin from where an IED went off. But now he's been victimized at home.

He said he couldn't believe it when he walked outside his gated apartment complex and went to get on his motorcycle only to find it wasn't there.

Now he is having to find another way to get to and from college.

"I put some safety precautions, you know, alarm and cover it up or whatever. It was still stolen out here. Wednesday night (it was here). I went to check Saturday, bike was gone.

Strachan said the likelihood of the bike being recovered is not very good.

"You save up your money, want to have some leisure, something fun and then you put all your money into a thing and next thing you know somebody takes it away from you."

Anyone with any information on the stolen motorcycle is asked to call Jacksonville Sheriff's Office at 630-0500.
