JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A fourth river taxi is set to make its debut on the St. Johns River for Florida-Georgia weekend.
The boat, which holds 100 passengers, was certified on Friday. It was expected to dock at Friendship Park on the Southbank by late afternoon.
The new taxi will be available Friday night if there is a large enough crowd to need it. Otherwise, it will begin service Saturday morning.
Now there are two taxis with 100-passenger capacity, one taxi with 60-passenger capacity and one taxi with 50-passenger capacity. That's double the capacity from last year.
The first boat is scheduled to leave at 9 a.m. Saturday.
Tickets are $5 each way for Florida-Georgia weekend.
