Car overturns on I-95 at Bowden Road

Driver suffers minor injuries

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A car overturned on Interstate 95 northbound near Bowden Road on Tuesday morning, but there were no serious injuries.

State troopers said a recycling truck was heading north when traffic came to a sudden stop about 6:30 a.m. They said the driver of the truck, 41-year-old Alton Mcrae, was unable to stop, causing the front of the truck to sideswipe a car and rear-end another.

The car that was rear-ended overturned and hit the inside concrete median wall.

The driver, 33-year-old Kelly Jo Brenenstall, was taken to Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. No one else was hurt.

Troopers said charges are pending.

The crashed blocked two lanes of I-95.
