JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Comedy Club in Jacksonville is sharing how local comedians are honoring Robin Williams' life.

After learning about Robin Williams' death, owner Steve Smith said he's never heard his team of comedians so quiet.

He said everyone is still in a state of disbelief, but are trying to finding comfort in his incredible career.

"Comics have pulled something from him for their own acts…not stealing it…but relating to it and saying this is part of me," said Smith.

Smith said his team of comics have all been taking the stage with heavy hearts.

"We didn't know Robin. But we knew of his work, and the comics that do the stage work feel a certain friendship to all comics because they all go through the same thing," said Smith.

The 63-year-old actor was found dead inside his northern California home on Monday. Williams battled drug addiction and depression for years and visited a rehab center last month.

Lt. Keith Boyd of the Marin County Coroner's Office said Tuesday, "The preliminary results of the forensic examination, revealed supporting physical signs that Mr. Williams' life ended from asphyxia due to hanging."

While the loss is still raw, Smith said he has no doubt Robin Williams is giving some angels one heck of a good time.

"Robin Williams was about making people laugh. And the way we honor him is in a subliminal way but yet carrying on making people laugh. That's how we're going to memorialize Robin Williams, we're going to make you laugh harder than ever," said Smith.

The staff at the Comedy Club have a show Wednesday night where they will take a moment to honor the life of Robin Williams. Many of them plan on wearing t-shirts with his picture on it.
