Blood Alliance teaming with Jags to beat last year's donation record

Organizers were hoping to break last year's donation record.

Last year, more than 1,000 people showed up to give a pint of blood, which is just about the amount inside of an average water bottle.

But this year, organizers are counting on more than 1,500 donors to show up for one of the most productive blood drives in the state.

This is the 18th year the Blood Alliance has teamed up with the Jags.

Anyone wanting to donate blood can go to the West Touchdown Club from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
