JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The 52-year-old driver of a Ford Ranger changed lanes to avoid slow traffic on Interstate 95 on Wednesday afternoon when he struck the side of a school bus loaded with middle and high school students, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers say Jerry Wilson was driving north in the middle lane of I-95 just before the Fuller Warren Bridge when he moved to the right to avoid the vehicle ahead of him when he struck the bus with more than a dozen children between 11 and 17 years old.
