Hillary Clinton supporters gather for fundraiser

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The next presidential election is two years away, but some local Hillary Clinton supporters got together Monday evening in support of her possible election campaign.

Locals came out to the grassroots fundraiser at Riverside's River Front Café.

With the slogan, "I'm ready for Hillary," organizers said this was their way of sending a message that if Clinton plans to run for president in 2016, they're ready to back her for the ballot.

"We don't know what Hillary Clinton is going to do, but we wanted to send everybody a message, including her, that if she decides to run, we're here for her," said Ray Alfred, state committeeman for Duval County. "We're beginning to energize people all over the state, certainly all over Duval County."

Supporters said they're looking forward to Clinton's decision, and hoping they'll be electing the first woman president.
