Police said that most of the burglaries happened during the daytime, with forced entry through front doors, and that thieves are taking televisions.

Officers offered some safety tips, including to have a deadbolt lock installed if the apartment door does not have one.

Police said it's also a good idea to get to know your neighbors and keep an eye on each other's apartments.

Anyone who has any information about the burglaries is asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 904-630-0500 or email JSOCrimeTips@jaxsheriff.org. To remain anonymous and receive a possible reward of up to $3,000, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS.
