Man sought in bank robbery on San Juan Avenue, Jacksonville police say

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man in his 50s robbed a bank Wednesday afternoon in the Lakeshore area on the city's Westside, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said. 

It happened about 2:15 p.m. at the TD Bank on San Juan Avenue near Roosevelt Boulevard.

Police said the man -- who was wearing a multicolored striped shirt -- walked in, got coffee and walked up to a teller. 

The man then spilled his coffee, told the teller he was sorry, demanded money and walked out with cash. 

No weapon was seen or implied, police said.

According to News4Jax records, this was the 15th bank robbery this year.

The Sheriff's Office continues to investigate.
