JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle Monday night on the city's Westside, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said.
The crash was reported just after 11 p.m. at Roosevelt Boulevard and St. Johns Avenue, near the Avondale neighborhood.

Police said the pedestrian was taken to a hospital in life-threatening condition.
The Sheriff's Office is investigating.
