Man accused of organized fraud, grand theft turns himself in

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A 31-year-old man wanted on fraud and grand theft charges turned himself in to police Wednesday night, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said.

Police had asked the public for help to find Altonio Phelps, who they said had active warrants charging him with one count of organized fraud and 15 counts of grand theft.

"Thank you to everyone for helping us get the word out," JSO wrote in a news release.
