JSO: Bicyclist injured in Woodstock drive-by shooting

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A bicyclist was injured in a drive-by shooting Thursday night in the Woodstock area, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said.

It happened about 8:15 p.m. at West First and St. Clair streets.

According to police, a 22-year-old man was riding a bike when a red vehicle drove by and a person inside fired multiple gunshots.

The bicyclist was hit multiple times in the buttocks, suffering non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

He was taken to UF Health by some good Samaritans. 

Detectives said the red vehicle drove off and it's unknown whether the shooting was gang-related.

The Sheriff's Office continues to investigate.
