Man sentenced to 30 years in baby's death

28-year-old pleads guilty to causing deadly skull fracture in 5-week-old boy

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 28-year-old man accused in the 2008 death of a 5-week-old boy will spend 30 years in prison after pleading guilty this week to second-degree murder.

Jonpaul Harms was sentenced Tuesday for the death of Amari Copeland.

In December 2008, Harms struck Amari in the head to stop the baby from crying.

Amari suffered a skull fracture and later died from his injuries.
