Mobile boutique offers prom dresses at great prices

Fashion show to make sure every girl has a prom dress

JACKSONVILLE. Fla. – Prom time is right around the corner and if you're like most people you're probably strapped for cash. But there's a boutique in town that sells gently used evening dresses and gowns for affordable prices.

Beth Sullivan from Sei Bella Image Consulting says there is a first of its kind event coming up aimed at making sure every girl has a dress for prom.

Patrice Riggens owns Arlene's Gowns, a mobile boutique. Riggens has dresses that start as low as $79, and now she's working with Pace Center for Girls to produce a fashion show. Some of the dresses will be auctioned off at the show with the proceeds going to Pace Center for Girls.

It's an effort close to Riggens' heart.

"Growing up I was a troubled teen," Riggens says. "And through church and discipline and self discipline as well I finally got on the right track. And having an eye for fashion especially planning my wedding, if I can do this for myself I can do this for other ladies and make them look good."
